St. Columb Major Town Council needed control over their own website that had previously been an adjunct to a community site. So we organised and processed their .gov.uk domain through JANET who administer these applications on behalf of the Cabinet Office, set up a secure email service using Google Apps and built their new site from scratch.
There’s certain documents, policies and features that every council needs to build into a website. It’s our goal to make sure that these are not only accessible to the general public but easily changed and updated by the staff who administer the site.
We’ll support councils who start using social media and show them how to use these tools to better engage with their communities. We’ll also advise on best practice so that electronic communications are secure and equipment up to date.
For selected clients we can provide more extensive support beyond taking care of their website and online related needs.
In this case – through our partnering with Dell equipment – we have supplied new desktop and laptops to replace ageing computers and updated operating systems.
