Precious Time
Another busy week draws to a close. There really should be 26 hours in the day. We got our teeth into a great new project for a bunch of newly qualified GP’s – we can’t wait to hear their feedback about the design concepts we’ve developed for their new logo and brand.
In amongst all the client work we had to drop off an iMac for repair (graphics card frazzled from Photoshop OD) and then, of course, some of us were fiddling with the latest iPhone into the small hours of the night.
By coincidence, and by way of a heads up from the folks at the Fueled collective, we were rather taken by some of the work from New York based multimedia artist Desmond Yee. He’s taken an iPhone and crafted it into an hourglass – the “sand” inside is actually made from ground up iPhones.
I guess there’s a point being made about how mobile dependent many of us have become – or how we “waste” time on gadgets – or maybe just that the work is “an active reminder for those holding it that precious time that is slipping away from them by the second.”
All the more reason to make the most of your weekend!
