Cornwall is home to a unique concentration of innovative businesses providing services to mining and related industries in the UK & around the world. When the Cornish Chamber Of Mines & Minerals decided they wanted to help market this expertise more effectively, they turned to SeaDog IT for help in developing a digital strategy.
When we first met with the Cornish Chamber of Mines & Mineral’s board, all we had to work with was their vision – to find a better way to leverage the expertise of the two hundred plus innovative organisations and experienced professionals that are based in Cornwall – and export these skills through new client leads to a global market.
Over a series of meetings, and having presented a range of potential digital solutions that would help enable this we developed a phased plan that would focus on delivering to their budgets and timeframes.
We brainstormed a range of brand concepts and narrowed these down to develop a distinctive logo and name that would best represent their potential members.
In parallel we started on the website hub, figuring out how best to build a searchable directory and template that would facilitate sign up for members ranging from individual consultants through to multi-nationals.
As a full service provider, we’re well placed to support companies with a wide range of marketing materials, advice and consultative support – before and after a project launch.
For the Cornwall Mining Alliance, we worked to develop support literature such as flyers, business cards and exhibition materials for several of their events, including making sure everything was ready for their launch event.
We were responsible for the design, printing and delivery of these products through our supply chain network.
Our knowledge of the sector has helped get their social media services up and running effectively and the analytic tools incorporated into their site will be a valuable resource to inform and quantify progress as the program develops.
With over 70 member companies to date, and more signing up all the time, the initiative has led to several significant new projects from enquiries that the site has generated.
Working with Dave at SeaDog IT was a pleasure and very rewarding. He guided us carefully through the process of setting up the website. The end result is impressive and a real asset to our project.
