This client was struggling to find a digital agency that could work with them as quickly and efficiently as required. SeaDog IT was recommended to them so we stepped in to take care of website, branding & social media development for this luxury self-catering accommodation in one of the UK's premier holiday destinations.
Our design perspective was both guided by, and focused on the services & features that actual holiday makers look for in this type of self-catering accommodation. This sort of insight can only be gained by spending time with the client and really understanding their business.
Balancing that appreciation with fresh content by way of a news feed that emphasises the “home from home” hospitality of the property’s owner we were able to develop a site that continues to grow bookings and business.
As with many clients, there are often advantages in establishing their social media presence early on in the process.
It can help generate a “buzz” ahead of their website going live, establishes networking with potential customers and, as in this case, helped secure bookings before the website went live that actually covered the investment costs associated with the digital design package we delivered.
One of the concerns that clients have about social media is the time that they assume it will take, distracting them from “more important” business.
Whilst it is true that regular, relevant content that engages does take commitment, we also integrate these social media feeds into most of the websites that we build in such a way that news posts from the “main site” automatically feeds out to Facebook Pages and Twitter.
This can save considerable administration time and effort.
The client was then trained up so that posting visitor reviews, handling comments and day-to-day management of both the site & social media becomes a pleasure, not a chore.
