Championing Cornish Innovation: Launching the Critical Minerals Challenge Centre Online
At SeaDog IT, we were delighted to partner with the University of Exeter & the team there from the Critical Minerals Challenge Centre (a UKRI-funded initiative accelerating responsible critical minerals production) to design & deliver their new website – and to help define their visual identity through distinctive logo and brand development.
The Critical Minerals Challenge Centre is a timely and vital initiative led by the University of Exeter, playing a key role in the UK’s response to the growing global demand for critical minerals. With its roots firmly in Cornwall’s geological and mining heritage, the Centre is a bold step forward in supporting sustainable resource development – and we were delighted to help shape its digital presence from the outset.
It was especially enjoyable to take time out from the office to attend the official launch event on 15th July at the St. Austell Conference Centre, which brought together leaders in research, innovation, and industry. It was a fantastic moment to reflect on the collaborative spirit that powered the project – and a credit to the team at the University of Exeter who brought great clarity and energy to the process – special mention to Katie Moore , Jake Scolding Carol-lynne Pettit and Frances Wall
A big shout out to our graphic designer Jan, whose creative vision helped establish a strong, clean and memorable brand for the Centre, and to our developer Chris, who turned concepts into a fast, accessible, and future-ready website that reflects the ambition of the initiative.
This project is another great example of the strategic, responsive digital design work that SeaDog IT is known for across the Cornish geo-tech sector. We thrive on partnerships that combine technical precision with creative impact – and we’re always proud to contribute to projects that matter to the region and beyond.
Here’s to more collaboration, innovation, and putting Cornish talent on the digital map!
